Off-road racing game DiRT 2 was supposed to arrive on the PC on December 1st in North America. On Friday Codemasters announced what gamers have begun to suspect: the game's been pushed back.

The notoriously lengthy elevator sequences in Mass Effect were a way for BioWare to circumvent loading screens. However, at a Comic-Con panel back in July, executive Mass Effect 2 producer Casey Hudson joked, "We have the fastest elevators in the industry." "The elevators were made in ME1 so we didn't have to show boring loading screens," wrote associate programmer Thomas Roy in recent ME2 official message board post.

This week brings a couple of anticipated releases, just in time for the holidays. For the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, The Saboteur is out. The game comes from Pandemic Studios and is set in Paris during World War II. A big release for Nintendo DS gamers is The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
