+For Peterson, There's Always Work to Do
Just halfway through his rookie season, Adrian Peterson has already topped 1,000 yards, toppled the defending NFC champs on their home turf and posted the best game ever by a running back -- with the reigning MVP (LaDainian Tomlinson) watching from the opposite sideline.

    +Cotto's Quiet Roar
If you didn't know Miguel Cotto, you might think the question that has him bashfully searching for an answer like a nervous seventh grader asking for a date to a dance is a hard-hitting shot right out of Mike Wallace's playbook. Perhaps a personal indescretion or a probe into the seamier side of boxing.

    +Week 10 NFL Picks
It was a banner Week 9 for AOL's users. An outstanding 11-3 performance raised your overall record to 65-56-9. Yours truly wasn't quite as good but still had a fine 8-6 mark for a season-to-date mark of 64-57-9.

    +Power Shift Atop the Rankings?
The Senators and Red Wings have been the best teams in the NHL so far this season, but one of the two teams stumbled against a struggling opponent. Was it enough to knock Ottawa out of the top spot in our power rankings?

+Is It Collusion or Friendly Chats?
ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 9) - Theo Epstein was in elementary school when the owners engaged in collusion against free agents in 1985, and maybe he never read the history. But Epstein, the Red Sox general manager, and Larry Beinfest, the MarlinsÂ’ president of baseball operations, came up with a new idea for the general managersÂ’ meetings that concluded here yesterday, and that idea could easily have crossed the line of collusion.

    +Waiver Wire to the Rescue
Priest Holmes – The fantasy ghost of Christmas past returns, thanks to a possible season ending injury that will sideline Larry Johnson for at least a week, if not for the entire season. Herm Edwards has said that Holmes probably wonÂ’t top 15 carries. That could be plenty of carries against the Broncos, one of the most abysmal run defenses in football. IÂ’d expect at least one long run, and a score or two. Accuscore projects 80 yards for Holmes in simulations against the Packers.
