    +Giants beat Redskins 45-12
Playing for their playoff lives, Eli Manning and the New York Giants were efficient, focused and dominant.

+2010 NFL Draft top ten DT prospects
One might think hat the DT class of 2010 stars and ends with phenom Ndamukong Suh, but the truth is there are four DT's coming out of school that will be drafted by the time we get to the top part of the second round. By the time that Round Two is over, at leas five of these ten men will have roster spots on NFL teams.

+Why are the Redskins dangling Jim Zorn in the wind?
The Washington Redskins are reportedly interviewing some of their coaching staff for their Head Coaching position. The problem with hat is they already have a Head Coach in Jim Zorn, and rather than delay the inevitable they should just fire the guy now. Come 2010 there is virtually no chance that Zorn will retain his role with the Redskins, but this classless organization would rather interview people on his own staff, than do what many have called for, for some time. The 2009 season is over for the Redskins, and instead of interviewing assistant coaches for a position that is likely to go to Mike Shanahan anyways, the Red skins should fire Zorn let one of the assistant coaches run the team for the last two weeks, and then conduct the entire interview process in the off-season.

+It really is the Brett Favre show after all
Brad Childress is the Head Coach of the Minnesota Vikings right? What he says goes right? Of course when your Brett Favre's ego, you do whatever you want, regardless of what is good for your team. When you Brett Favre you can delude yourself into thinking that your still in your prime when your 40, and when your Brett Favre you can retire every spring and hold the NFL world hostage as you figure out what you want to do, because the morons that run ESPN aren't smart enough to figure out that this is all about Brett Favre and his massive ego.

+Did the Denver Broncos do Brandon Marshall a huge favor?
We all remember the tumultuous training camp of the Denver Broncos. We all remember WR Brandon Marshall demanding a new contract, or a trade. We also remember that the Denver Broncos suspended him for nine games. With all of that Marshall has had an outstanding season, and one has to wonder if the Broncos have done this kid a huge favor.

+Carrie Underwood engaged to NHL player Mike Fisher
Carrie Underwood is engaged to Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher, her publicist said Monday.

+NASCAR's Johnson wins male athlete of the year
There was little recognition outside the racing world when Jimmie Johnson won his first NASCAR championship.

+Injury adds to woes of suspended Mascherano
Javier Mascherano will spend his enforced absence due to suspension recovering from a knee injury after Liverpool confirmed the midfielder will be laid low for up to three weeks.

    +Deputies bust alleged cockfighting ring
One man faces a felony charge and others could be arrested after an anonymous tip Saturday led deputies to an alleged cockfighting ring in Albuquerque's South Valley.

+Detroit Lions lose to the Arizona Cardinals, but this one feels different
Yes, there are no moral victories in the NFL. Yes, the bar is not high, and by even writing this I am throwing the bar away, but Sunday's Detroit Lions loss to the Arizona Cardinals felt different somehow. It didn't feel as bad, in fact there were even a few signs of hope in the 12th loss of the season.

+Kaeding's last-second field goal lifts playoff-bound Chargers over grieving Bengals 27-24
Nate Kaeding kicked a 52-yard field goal with 3 seconds left and the playoff-bound San Diego Chargers pulled out a dramatic 27-24 win over the grieving Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

+Harrison rushes for 286 yards, Cribbs returns 2 kicks for TDs in Browns' 41-34 win over Chiefs
Jerome Harrison ran from nowhere into the record books. Joshua Cribbs topped even himself.

    +Get to Know: Tiffany Weimer
Tiffany Weimer, mostly known for her skill on the ball, is easily one of the best players in Women's Professional Soccer. She carries the individual flair that can excite a crowd, and a great ability to score goals and create dangerous plays for her team.

    +England looking good
Kevin Pietersen kept England on course for a draw with an unbeaten half-century as they tried to bat out the final day at Centurion.
