    +Ochocinco fined 30k for touchdown celebration
      After scoring a TD against the Detroit Lions last Sunday, Chad Ochocinco headed to the bench where he dawned a poncho and a sombrero in what was he latest attempts to be funny, be the star, or whatever other need drivers this man to do the things that he does. The NFL on Wednesday fined Chad 30 grand for the incident. The 30k number was 10k more than the NF fined him earlier this year when Chad faked bribing an official in another of his now infamous TD celebrations.

    +Texas Rangers trade for Ray, sign Harden
      While teams like the Detroit Tigers are spending the annual Winter Meetings to moving around salary and making blockbuster Trades, the Texas Rangers, a team with their own financial problems, as gone about tweaking their own the field product somewhat under the radar. On Wednesday The Rangers traded their ace, pitcher Kevin Millwood to the Baltimore Orioles for reliever Chris Ray. They are now using the money they saved from Millwood's contract to extend an offer to pitcher Rich Harden. Both moves are upgrades for the Rangers, who were on the verge of making the playoffs in 2009.

    +Marlins send Lindstrom to Astros for prospects
      Matt Lindstrom had a 1-2 mark with 15 saves last season. The Florida Marlins have traded hard-throwing reliever Matt Lindstrom to the Houston Astros.

    +Stafford to sit, Culpepper to start versus the Ravens
      On one hand Detroit Lions fans will be happy that Rookie QB Matthew Stafford will sit, and not have to face the Baltimore Ravens defense. On the other hand it seems that many Lions fans are upset that Daunte Culpepper will get the start over QB Drew Stanton.

    +QB Brady, wife have baby boy
      New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen have welcomed a baby boy.

      The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the league had not made any announcement about the fine.

      Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien looks set to miss Saturday's clash with Everton after sustaining a hamstring injury against APOEL.

    +Top Five 2010 NFL QB Prospects
      As a sports writer with a NFL draft column I am under constant pressure to get my annual Draft Ranking published as soon as possible. Often as the College Football season progress those rankings change, and change a lot. Guys get injured, guys give up, and in the case of under classmen we don't exactly know if they will declare for the draft or not. Since it is now December, the College Football regular season is essentially over, here is a quick look at the top five QB prospects for the 2010 draft.

    +Tomlin to shake up Steelers starting lineup
      Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin vowed to unleash hell on his opponents in December. After losing, at home no less, to the pitiful Oakland Raiders, he is unleashing a little hell on his starting lineup. The Steelers are suffering through their longest losing streak since 2003 when they lost five games in a row. The current Steelers losing streak stands at 4, and two of those loses are ugly loses to the Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. Since the Cincinnati Bengals swept their AFC North Divisional games, the Steelers are amongst a crowded field to make the 2009 NFL playoffs.

    +Yankees, Tigers, and D-Backs agree on three way blockbuster trade
      On the second day of the MLB Winter Meetings three teams pulled off a blockbuster trade that shows three different organizations, trying to accomplish very different things. While the trade is not final, as players are taking physicals, and teams are crossing their T's and dotting their I's, they have agreed to terms, and here is a look at what each team will get:

    +Yankees acquire Curtis Granderson in three-team blockbuster trade
      Curtis Granderson hit .249/.327/.453 with 30 home runs and 20 stolen bases in 2009.

    +Danica Patrick takes a run at NASCAR
      Danica Patrick signed with JR Motorsports on Tuesday to give NASCAR a try, but her schedule in the second-tier Nationwide Series has yet to be determined.
