+Top Five 2010 NFL QB Prospects
As a sports writer with a NFL draft column I am under constant pressure to get my annual Draft Ranking published as soon as possible. Often as the College Football season progress those rankings change, and change a lot. Guys get injured, guys give up, and in the case of under classmen we don't exactly know if they will declare for the draft or not. Since it is now December, the College Football regular season is essentially over, here is a quick look at the top five QB prospects for the 2010 draft.

+Tomlin to shake up Steelers starting lineup
Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin vowed to unleash hell on his opponents in December. After losing, at home no less, to the pitiful Oakland Raiders, he is unleashing a little hell on his starting lineup. The Steelers are suffering through their longest losing streak since 2003 when they lost five games in a row. The current Steelers losing streak stands at 4, and two of those loses are ugly loses to the Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. Since the Cincinnati Bengals swept their AFC North Divisional games, the Steelers are amongst a crowded field to make the 2009 NFL playoffs.

+Yankees, Tigers, and D-Backs agree on three way blockbuster trade
On the second day of the MLB Winter Meetings three teams pulled off a blockbuster trade that shows three different organizations, trying to accomplish very different things. While the trade is not final, as players are taking physicals, and teams are crossing their T's and dotting their I's, they have agreed to terms, and here is a look at what each team will get:

+Yankees acquire Curtis Granderson in three-team blockbuster trade
Curtis Granderson hit .249/.327/.453 with 30 home runs and 20 stolen bases in 2009.

+Danica Patrick takes a run at NASCAR
Danica Patrick signed with JR Motorsports on Tuesday to give NASCAR a try, but her schedule in the second-tier Nationwide Series has yet to be determined.

+On tap: Houston's Juan Diaz vs Paulie Malignaggi
This Saturday, December 12th, 2009, HBO Boxing After Dark presents another two good match-ups. [ See >> Juan Diaz profile ] [ See >> Williams vs Martinez Photos ] In Chicago's UIC Pavilion this Saturday, Houston-native Juan "the Baby Bull" Diaz takes on Paulie "Magic Man" Malignaggi in an anticipated rematch.

    +Primus calls it quits
Portsmouth defender Linvoy Primus has announced his retirement from football because of a persistent knee injury.

+Donnal to play in U.S. Army All-American Bowl
Donnal to play in U.S. Army All-American Bowl

+Tigers, D-Backs, and Yankees working on mega deal
Major Leagues Baseball kicked off its Winter Meetings Monday in Indianapolis, Indiana and the Detroit Tigers were the subject of many rumor as they look to unload some talent, and some pricey contracts. OF Curtis Granderson and P Edwin Jackson have been the subject of most of the rumors, since the Tigers have let the other teams know that they are available should another club meet their asking price. While we don't know what that price is, it is sure to include some solid bullpen help, and a few blue chip prospects.

+Rodgers throws 3 TDs as Packers beat Ravens, 27-14
Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes, including two to tight end Jermichael Finley, and the Green Bay Packers beat the Baltimore Ravens 27-14 in a penalty-filled game Monday night.

+Detroit Tigers enter baseball Winter Meetings in fire sale mode
The annual Baseball Winter Meetings opened today in Indianapolis, Indiana, and to on ones surprise the Detroit Tigers spent the day as the focus of the rumor mill. Several rumors swirled around that the Tigers have dealt Pitcher Edwin Jackson to the New York Mets, and while those rumors were mostly debunked, another rumored surfaced that the Tigers were ready to deal both Jackson and Curtis Granderson to the New York Yankees.

+Notre Dame's Clausen and Tate to enter 2010 draft
After a terrible College Football season, by anyone's standards most of Notre Dame's, Junior QB Jimmy Clausen and Junior WR Golden Tate will forego their senior seasons at the school and enter the 2010 NFL draft.

+Can Brady Quinn ever be the man?
Let's face it at 1-11 the Cleveland Browns are irrelevant to December NFL games. For the Browns the season is over, and much like Detroit Lions fans Cleveland fans are turning their attention towards the NFL draft. Of course two big questions will have to be answered by the Browns before draft day, one will Eric Mangini be the coach, and two do they need to draft a QB?
